According to an announcement on Thursday from OnlyFans, an online subscription platform known for adult content, users will now be able to display verified NFTs on their profile pictures, the company explained.
Our mission is to empower creators to own their full potential. This feature is the first step in exploring the role that NFTs can play on our platform.

As part of a trend of social media companies considering ways to integrate the digital tokens as part of their platforms, the UK-based company, which said it introduced this feature in December, has joined social media companies such as Twitter and Reddit.
In the aftermath of the pandemic, OnlyFans, which had been launched in 2016, boomed with creators selling sales of their content through the platform directly to subscribers.
The platform will only support NFTs that are minted on the Ethereum blockchain and will display a Ethereum icon on NFT profile pictures to indicate their authenticity.
