According to data from the AscendEX crypto trading platform, hackers gained access to tokens hosted on the Ethereum (ETH), Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Polygon (POLY) blockchains and stole 77.7 million dollars. The Ethereum blockchain alone saw token transfers worth around $60 million. BSC and Polygon are each missing tokens worth $9.2 million and $8.5 million, respectively.
In the aftermath of realizing the theft, AscendEX proactively alerted its users, confirming that hackers did not gain access to the company’s cold wallet.

In a report from PeckShield, a company that specializes in blockchain security and data analytics, $60 million worth of tokens have been transferred over the Ethereum blockchain. It is clear from EtherScan data that Binance Smart Chain tokens are worth $9.2 million and Polygon tokens are worth $8.5 million, respectively.

USD Coin (USDC), Tether (USDT), and Shiba Inu (SHIB) are some of the popular tokens stolen in this hack. The exact value of the tokens taken by the hackers has not yet been officially determined by AscendEX, In addition, the company has offered to cover up the losses incurred by the affected users as a result of this attack.
