The Nigerian Court puts off deciding whether to release Binance Executive Tigran Gambaryan on bail until October

till October 9th. Gambaryan, a manager at Binance, has been held in Nigeria since February and is sick with things like asthma and malaria. His lawyers say that he needs bail because his health is getting worse, but the court hasn’t decided yet. The delay has made people around the world criticize how Nigeria is treating Gambaryan’s case.

Tigran Gambaryan, a top official at Binance, will not have his bail hearing until October 9th. Gambaryan has been in jail in Nigeria since February on charges of tax fraud and money laundering. His case has gotten a lot of attention because his health is getting worse and his arrest is still causing legal and political problems.

The court put off making a decision on Gambaryan’s bail plea until September 4th after his lawyers asked them to do so. It is said that Gambaryan has malaria, asthma, and problems related to a herniated disk. Because of these health problems, his lawyers are asking for medical bail. Crypto community is furious over a video of Gambaryan having a hard time getting into court. Many are angry at how the Nigerian government is treating the situation.

The executive from Binance’s family is worried that he isn’t getting enough medical care while he is in jail. Reports say Gambaryan has refused some treatments in order to move to a hospital of his choice, even though a medical report says he needs surgery and physical therapy right away.

Recent moves around the world against other tech and crypto leaders have made things even more tense. For example, the CEO of Telegram, Pavel Durov, was recently arrested in France on similar charges.

The executive’s lawyers say that his failing health is a good reason for his release on bail, but the court hasn’t decided yet. This ongoing situation brings up bigger questions about how famous people should be treated in foreign court battles.

A Nigerian court has put off making a decision on Tigran Gambaryan’s bail application until later.
