In an exclusive partnership, BitWallet, a cryptocurrency company based in Houston, Texas, has been named as the Official Digital Currency Wallet of the NFL team Houston Texans, according to an announcement made by the company today. The Houston Texans are continuing to accept cryptocurrencies as a means to purchase game suites for their single games by partnering with this unique partnership.
The functionality of cryptocurrency has enabled fans to purchase individual game suites with cryptocurrencies. As an intermediary, BitWallet will convert the cryptocurrencies into U.S. dollars and act as the conversion agent. In an effort to be one of the first companies to establish a single-game suite, Houston-based full-service digital marketing agency EWR Digital jumped at the opportunity and purchased the first suite. With this move, the Houston Texans become the first football team in the history of the NFL to sell a suite through the use of digital currency.
Currently, it seems that the crypto deal is only available for suites, since there has not been any mention of being able to purchase regular tickets with cryptocurrency at this point.
There is no price listed on the website of the Houston Texans for premium suites for single games or season tickets as of yet. However, they’re asking interested parties to submit an inquiry first before submitting an offer to buy one. According to the seat estimates, a single suite for a team can range anywhere between $14,000 and $25,000, depending on the team. It is reported that the price can go as high as $40,000.
In a statement on the development, the company’s CEO, John T. Perrone, pointed out that “Digital currency has become a primary means of payment, and the Texans, by partnering with BitWallet, are leading the way in the NFL with this development.”
We are proud to partner with BitWallet to offer an exciting option for our fans who are looking to enjoy Texans gameday in one of our suites.

Additionally, besides the Texans, there are a number of other NFL teams that have gained exposure to the crypto industry through exclusive sponsorship and partnership agreements. As part of a sponsorship deal signed in April, the Dallas Cowboys signed a deal with cryptocurrency exchange and wallet provider Blockchain.com, making the company the official digital asset partner and sponsor of the NFL team as well.
