Taurus launches a Solana-based custody and tokenization platform for financial institutions.
Taurus, a leading digital asset infrastructure provider, has launched a new enterprise-grade custody and tokenization platform based on the Solana blockchain. Taurus-Capital is a platform that enables banks and financial institutions to tokenize real-world assets (RWAs) such as equity, debt, structured products, and even central bank digital currencies.
Taurus’ integration into the Solana network intends to provide faster, more efficient custody, staking, and issuing services for tokenized assets. The platform’s extensive features will enable users to manage and tokenize assets with lower operating costs and complexities while simultaneously using Solana’s high throughput and low latency capabilities.
Taurus-Capital’s debut comes in response to increased demand from financial institutions looking for solutions to digitize conventional assets. This endeavor is part of a larger RWA tokenization movement in which tangible assets, such as real estate, are transformed into digital tokens on blockchain networks, thereby increasing liquidity and market accessibility.
Taurus has already received considerable funding, including a $65 million Series B round in 2023 led by Credit Suisse and sponsored by Deutsche Bank. This investment demonstrates the growing potential for digital asset infrastructure in the financial industry, with forecasts indicating that the tokenization of private assets may accelerate the digital asset market to a value greater than $10 trillion.
Taurus-Capital’s debut marks an important step in bridging the gap between traditional finance and the emerging digital asset landscape, giving institutions the tools they need to innovate and remain competitive in an ever-changing financial world.
