Sonic SVM, a Solana layer-2 blockchain, has partnered with Galaxy Interactive to launch a multimillion-dollar fund to accelerate the development of Web3 games, AI agents, and digital content creation tools. This project comes at a time when the bitcoin sector is increasingly concerned with the possibilities of AI-powered technologies.
The newly launched G.A.M.E. (Game, AI, Meme, Ecosystem) Fund will offer up to $1 million in funding to each eligible project. There is no limit to the number of projects that can benefit from the fund, which will also include technical aid, marketing support, and integration with Sonic’s wildly famous TikTok Applayer, which has already garnered over two million users.
This fund seeks to bridge the gap between traditional Web2 and emerging Web3 gaming environments. Sam Englebardt, Galaxy Interactive’s founding general partner, stressed that the initiative demonstrates a commitment to assisting visionary teams forging the future of interactive entertainment through innovative use of AI and social platforms.
Binance Labs and Animoca Brands developed Gomble Games, a system that converts standard Web2 games into Web3 experiences, for the fund’s initial investment. GombleTitles has already attracted over 110 million unique users across its 230 titles worldwide, becoming the most downloaded mobile game in South Korea by 2023.
Chris Zhu, CEO of Sonic SVM, believes that the future of gaming is at the confluence of high-performance infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and social networking. The platform is aimed at assisting teams in creating immersive, asset-driven game experiences powered by AI. With AI agents growing in popularity on platforms such as TikTok and X, Sonic sees enormous development potential in multimodal agents that may increase social influence and economic value.
As the crypto industry prepares for 2025, AI-driven projects, particularly decentralized AI agents, are likely to play a critical role in the next phase of technological growth, and Sonic SVM is well-positioned to lead this innovation.
