OpenAI wants Elon Musk’s lawsuit to be thrown out because it is an attempt to harass the company

OpenAI wants Elon Musk’s case to be thrown out because they say he is using it to harass the company and push his own AI startup, xAI. The business says Musk’s claims are not based in law and are part of a larger plan to compete.

OpenAI has asked the court to throw out Elon Musk’s case, saying that the billionaire is using the court system to bother the business. Musk first filed the case in August, saying that OpenAI has moved away from its original charity goal and is now focused on making as much money as possible. The lawyers for OpenAI, on the other hand, say that Musk’s claims are false and are part of a larger plan to help his own AI company, xAI.

OpenAI said that Musk’s actions in the move from October 9, 2024, were part of a larger plan to get ahead in the fast growing AI field. The business says that Musk, who used to back OpenAI’s goals, quit the project when he couldn’t control it. The filing says that Musk’s case is an attempt to hurt OpenAI’s success while pushing his own AI company.

Musk’s first case, which he filed in February, was based on claims that OpenAI had changed from a charity to a for-profit business. Musk said that this change went against the company’s original goal of making AI technology that would help people. However, OpenAI has denied these claims and said that its main goal is still to build AI in a safe and responsible way.

As Musk continues to grow his own AI company, xAI, the court battle has gotten worse. In its filing, OpenAI says that Musk’s lawsuit is not based on real legal issues but on a plan to use the court system to get an unfair edge in the AI business. The business says that the case should be thrown out because it is not based on any facts.

On November 12, the court will hear OpenAI’s request to dismiss. If the court wins, the case will be dropped, and OpenAI will be able to focus on developing AI without having to worry about legal fights started by one of its co-founders.

As the court battle goes on, it shows how the competition for power in the AI business is making things more tense between big names in a field that could change the future of technology.
