Binance has emerged as a crucial player in the memecoin boom by 2024, with 80% of tokens listed on the site experiencing significant price increases. The significant price gains highlight the significance of listing on the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange.
Among the success stories, Neiro (NEIRO) stands out with an amazing increase of approximately 7,600%. Other memecoins, including Moo Deng (MOODENG), Dogwifhat (WIF), and Popcat (POPCAT), had huge rises of more than 200% after listing. However, not all memecoins experienced price increases; some, like Mog Coin (MOG), Myro (MYRO), and Book of Meme (BOME), experienced price drops following their listing.
The Solana blockchain powers many of the memecoins listed in 2024, accounting for 60% of the tokens. Ethereum follows with almost 27%, while the remaining tokens originate from Binance’s BNB Smart Chain and the Base network.
Despite the overall success of tokens listed on Binance, we advise investors to proceed with caution. Historically, most memecoins have failed to maintain their value, with the vast majority eventually disappearing from the market. People often view Binance’s listings as proof of legitimacy, but only a handful of these tokens manage to achieve long-term success.
