In the emerging NFTs and crypto market, TAG Heuer, a luxury watchmaker company based in Switzerland, has ventured into the space, despite the recent turmoil in the crypto market. The company has launched a smartwatch with features that enable users to showcase their NFT collections. In order to create a smartwatch that displays non-fungible tokens (NFT) and connects to crypto wallets such as MetaMask and Ledger Live, TAG Heuer partnered with the well-known non-fungible tokens (NFT) community surrounding Bored Ape Yacht Club and CLONE-X.
Additionally, there will be verifiable proof of ownership of the tokens that is included in this feature. There is also mention of the company’s in-house development team which has been creating apps and watch faces that bear the brand’s distinctive design language. These customizations include design and functionality modifications that were incorporated after extensive consultations with “blue chip” NFT communities, such as the BAYC, Cryptopunks, CLONE-X, and World of Women.
TAG Heuer presents a new way to bring these valuable and highly collectible artworks into the real world. For the first time, they can be worn on your wrist with verified proof of ownership. The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 allows you to display NFT artworks on your watch by connecting your crypto wallet to guarantee authenticity.
The announcement said
In summary, the new feature of the watch is the ability for the user to perform multiple NFT transfers by using a paired smartphone to a new lens watch face that can display NFT artwork and time in three unique ways. On top of that, it also has a concept design with a triangle and a circle representing minutes and hours respectively. It enables users to select the type of NFTs they want to showcase on their watch. There is no need to worry about the image size as this feature allows you to resize an image to fit the screen perfectly.
In addition to working with a team of in-house developers to develop blockchain-related projects, TAG Heuer is expanding in the Web3 space. TAG Heuer announced in May that it had joined forces with BitPay so that it may begin accepting payments in Bitcoin (BTC) and more than a dozen other cryptocurrencies, including several US dollar-pegged stablecoins. In recent months, Bulgari, Jacob & Co, and others have entered the NFT watch market, and NFT watches aren’t a completely new idea.
