Adding crypto to everyday activities, such as ordering food online, is another way to increase crypto adoption. Grubhub, a food delivery platform in the United States, has come up with a great way to engage its users. By partnering with Bitcoin rewards company Lolli, the company allows its users to earn Bitcoin (BTC) on every purchase.
On Wednesday, Lolli announced that Grubhub customers will get $5 in Bitcoin when ordering their first meal. By using the platform’s extension, they would automatically receive $1 in BTC when they order another meal. Activating Lolli before ordering at Grubhub is necessary for users to take advantage of this benefit. Users will be able to transfer funds into their own virtual wallet after they have earned up to $15.
Lolli’s CEO and founder, Alex Adelman, described the mission of the company as “integrating bitcoin into the lives of all people.”. Alex Adelman, CEO of Lolli, said, “We must integrate bitcoin into everyday life.”. Food delivery has become a ritual for many, and Bitcoin rewards make Bitcoin to be part of that ritual.
In Lolli’s opinion, it is the first bitcoin rewards program that enables people to earn bitcoin while shopping online. Over 1000 top brands and merchants offer BTC rewards through Lolli, including Microsoft, Kroger, Sephora, and Macy’s.
In any case, Lolli is not the first or the last company to integrate crypto into its products in the food industry. In partnership with Robinhood, Burger King gave its customers crypto prizes just last month. After spending $5 or more at the fast-food chain, its Royal Perks loyalty program members could earn BTC, ETH, and DOGE.
