Starting August 27, high schools across Buenos Aires will integrate Ethereum and blockchain technology into their curriculum, providing students with valuable, hands-on experience in the evolving field of digital finance. This initiative, a collaboration between Argentinaâ€TMs Ministry of Education and the ETH Kipu Foundation, aims to position Argentina at the forefront of the global blockchain movement by equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed for future careers in technology.
The program includes blockchain internships and an online course in Solidity, a programming language for developing decentralized applications (DApps) on the Ethereum blockchain. The course will train 500 students aged 18 and over, with a goal of creating a new generation of blockchain developers. Additionally, 30 teachers will receive specialized training to ensure effective teaching of blockchain concepts, further expanding the program’s reach and impact.
This educational push comes as Argentina experiences skyrocketing inflation, leading many citizens to turn to digital assets as a safeguard. The initiative not only aims to educate students but also to prepare them for a tech-driven economy, contributing to Argentina’s growing role in the global crypto landscape.
