Adidas Originals and Prada are collaborating to launch NFT project showcasing user generated and creator-owned artwork

Starting on Jan. 24, fans will be able to create and mint NFTs by using a digital wallet they register with and submitting a photograph that uses the artist Ziri Lieberman’s filter in addition to a photo.

Two international brands, Adidas Originals and Prada, are collaborating for the third time to bring the adidas for Prada Re-Nylon collection boldly into the metaverse. Both brands are well known for their relentlessly progressive approach to innovation and quality.

Adidas for Prada re-source is a groundbreaking first-of-its-kind collaboration between adidas and Prada, showcasing users generated and creator-owned artwork for the very first time. As part of the project, participants will be bringing together talent from across the fashion, design, and cryptocurrency spectrum to create a large-scale digital artwork based on the Re-Nylon collection.

By 2030, Morgan Stanley predicts that the total NFT market is expected to grow to $300 billion. According to the research, luxury brands such as Gucci, Balenciaga and Kering are in the best position to profit from digital collaborations in the metaverse.

Starting on Jan. 24, fans will be able to create and mint NFTs by using a digital wallet they register with and submitting a photograph that uses the artist Ziri Lieberman’s filter in addition to a photo. There will then be 3,000 contributors chosen for the project, who will also own the intellectual property rights to their own NFTs and have the ability to participate in the drop that takes place later that week.

Adidas and Prada have announced that Lieberman’s final NFT will be auctioned on SuperRare, an online marketplace that curates NFT artworks. The majority of the proceeds from the auction will go to Slow Factory, a non-profit organization and institution striving to create education that can be used as a catalyst for meaningful solutions and inclusive communities.
